The Story

It all started in Svendborg, Funen, Denmark, in 1996. I was homeless for the second time, kicked out onto the streets. The owner of Discoteque Chess Svendborg took me in and let me stay at the discotheque when it was closed.

To earn my place there, he taught me the art of vinyl and CD mixing. I was paid with food and shelter, and I earned the right to stay by learning the craft.

After years away from the decks and a difficult battle with drinking, PTSD, and paranoid schizophrenia, I made the decision in 2015 to quit drinking cold turkey.

In 2018, I slowly started DJing again, this time digitally. During COVID, I rebuilt my skills. I began playing on Twitch as djbeatmonstar, then djexp626, then stitchiedk, and finally StitchieEU.

My future is uncertain now that I am over 50, but it is looking bright.
